I grew up in Kansas City Missouri and graduated with a bachelor of science degree at Missouri University in Hotel and Restaurant management. I’ve spent most of my life in the food industry as a restaurant owner and business development consultant and have been told that my creativity in the kitchen is one of a kind. I’ve always been intrigued with using ingredients available at hand and making meals that taste great. Within the last 10 years or so I have been experimenting with organic ingredients, locally grown produce and now living in the Florida area, I have all these fresh ingredients at my disposal.

Rescuing Reese:
A Tale of Love and Second Chances

Growing up I’ve always had a love for dogs and throughout the years I’ve adopted various breeds. The last dog that I adopted was a 5 year old chocolate lab named Reese who was found roaming the streets in GA after a storm had gone through the area. He was taken from a kill shelter in GA and brought down to a No Kill Shelter in Florida where I adopted him.

After identifying the correct food that he loved, with the correct supplements recommended by my veterinarian, I realized that wasn’t enough. I was constantly working with this guy to properly train him, and he was eager to learn and highly food motivated. Snacks and Treats were KEY when training him in an open field with commands to create proper discipline. Our dog’s look to us for love, guidance, security and wellness and a happy dog is one that is loved, cared for and trained properly. I started giving him small snacks that I found at the local pet store but with his sensitive stomach, skin issues giving him any snack or treatis not the right thing to do.
